Daily COVID-19 statistics for the Cayman Islands
The Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Samuel Williams-Rodriguez, reports that 276 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since this was last reported on Wednesday, 18 November 2020. One was positive.
The individual is an asymptomatic traveller who returned a positive test result following routine screening. They will remain in isolation until considered recovered.
The total number of people in isolation, either at a government facility or in their homes as required by the Medical Officer of Health, is 936.
For symptomatic patients:
10 days after symptom onset, plus at least 3 additional days without symptoms (including without fever and without respiratory symptoms). Persons will then be retested and must obtain two negative tests 24 hours apart.
For asymptomatic cases:
10 days after positive test for COVID-19. Persons will be then be retested and must obtain two negative tests 24 hours apart.
